!!UPDATED - WINNER ANNOUNCED - UPDATED!!
Today is Fess Up Friday on BBR.
Okay, let me give it a try. Today I fess up that I’m an annoying optimist. In fact, I wrote about it on my personal blog just yesterday.

What about you? What’s one thing you want to get off your chest. Is it that you secretly love the new Chocolate Mix Skittles and that your husband asked for one and you didn’t want to give him even one little vanilla pudding skittle. Oh gosh, that’s me.
Or maybe it’s that you look really nice when you go out, but you work at home in your jersey shorts and T-shirt from Freedom Celebration 2006 and most of the time you don’t have makeup on, or shoes for that matter.
Oh, man. Me again.
Surely, someone else has something to fess up on this Fess Up Friday!
Hey, let’s make this fun! Post something/anything about Fess Up Friday on your blog. Link back to BBR in the post. Then add your name and the link to your post in Mr. Linky below.
On Sunday I’ll check Mr. Linky. One lucky winner will receive three–no, let’s make that four–books for their (or a friend’s) reading pleasure.

-
Book 1: Broken Heart on Hold: Surviving separation by Linda W. Rooks
- Book 2: Reaching Teens in Their Natural Habitat: A field guide for savvy parents by Danny Holland
- Book 3: Meet Me At the Well by Virelle Kidder: Take a month and water your soul (devotional)
- Book 4: Your choice of one of my books, autographed to you, my BBR friend
- AND one bag of Chocolate Mix Skittles - yummmm
Ready. Set. Go.
Isn’t this fun?
Suzie

Cheryl Barker is the winner of our Mr. Linky contest. She shared her Fess Up Friday on her blog and added her name to Mr. Linky. I will do this again next Friday, but hopefully be able to share the rules a little better! You ladies absolutely rock.
Cheryl, contact me and give me your mailing address and I’ll pop these in the mail!

I will confess that I like to read while I’m driving. Driving is just such non-value added activity and I can’t resist snatching up a book at red lights and then I can’t put it down. I know - baaad habit and I’m really trying to quit!
I’ve always got chocolate in my purse. Doesn’t everyone?
I confess: I’m a chocolate snob. (and also a coffee snob, probably) Sorry, chocolate Skittles?? ewww. (especially after reading the review you linked) I don’t think so. Ghiardelli at the very least. If I’m going to take in those calories, it needs to be high quality, dark chocolate only.
Dianne,
three little words: books on tape!
for the sake of the drivers around you, if nothing else!
What fun! I haven’t tried the new Skittles yet. They’re that good, huh?
I entered! And if I win, I already have Linda’s book. I know her! What fun! Hey, that’s another little confession - I love autographed copies of books. Better yet if I know the author in some way.
Hee.
They are good, regardless of the candy snob’s opinion. : ) The vanilla ones are yummy. The caramel ones are delish.
Thanks Flea for hitting Mr. Linky. I hope others will follow. I don’t think I made the rules very clear. The confession should be on your site with a link to BBR, and that link shared on Mr. Linky (see, it sounds confusing even here), but we’ll keep playing! : )
And I confess I also like books, especially the autographed ones from people I know or have met!
I just read my post. : ) I’m not calling Keri a candy snob, but the link I posted. : ) Silly me. I should read my posts before I hit send. I’m with Keri on the silky expensive chocolate. I’ll take that anytime!
Diane, Diane, Diane. Books on CD. I’m with Keri. That’s got to be dangerous, but what a fun confession. I once saw a women with a book on her dashboard AND she was putting on makeup while driving. Yesterday I scraped my son’s car and I was only driving forward. Sheesh. I’m no multi-tasker, it seems.
Okay, ladies - confession is good for the soul! I’m going to try the book on tape thing, or at least put some of my favorite podcasts on CD. I do not do the makeup thing while I’m driving though, do I get some points for that?
Keri - I’m a chocolate and coffee snob too. I only want dark chocolate, and the coffee must be a rich full-bodied blend.
No Mr. Linky for me; I am taking a break from blogging and shut my site down for a while b/c the temptation was too great!
Hey, did I do it right, then? The whole linky thing? Now I’m really confused.
I’m’ a coffee snob only in certain ways. Not the brand, necessarily, as sI’ll buy less expensive coffee, but I prefer a pressed coffee. And it has to be strong - no muddy water. And chocolate! No brown wax, thankyouverymuch. And really, only dark. And only good dark. I could go for some right now, in fact …
Suzie, the ampitheater is having a really cool fourth of July celebration on Friday if you’re interested. Here’s the info:

Not sure if we’ll be going as my little brother will be in town, but it looks like a lot of fun!
I confess that my office is a mess, and I did not have time to read this blog until after church today.
I used to be “Miss Perfectionist”… now I’m “Mrs. Reality”!
The office will stay messy this Sunday afternoon, while I relax with some inspirational books. Thank You, Lord.
In His Love, Ginger
I finally got around to entering the Mr. Linky thing. Not sure if I’m supposed to leave another comment or not. Just covering my bases
Ok, I don’t know if I did mr. linky right but I’m leaving another comment. I admit you guys have me curious about those skittles. but probably not enough to try them.

I haven’t tried the chocolate Skittles, but I admit that I do like the chocolate covered Altoids.
I confess that I love southern fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy. I confess that given a choice between a blizzard at Dairy Queen or the chicken strips with gravy, I would go for the chicken and gravy. I further confess that I’d eat both the blizzard and the chicken dinner if given the chance! Save me from myself, somebody, please!
Hey Karla, You and my husband can so relate! He was raised on Southern comfort food. It goes so much deeper than just the food. It was a way of life, that went along with an amazing mom, a farm life, walking in to the smells of mashed potatoes and gravy, or biscuits and gravy, or toast piled high with cinnamon sugar. : ) He says that he doesn’t eat it because it’s bad for him, but that he still craves it every day.
Hey Flea, My kids are all coming in on the 4th, and bringing friends (one family and Titus, the 3-year-old that has captured two of my daughter’s hearts). We plan to go floating on the river, picnic, and then crash at my house on air mattresses and the few beds available. Then we will watch the fireworks in Muskogee at our home church. It is as big and great as the major ones. BUT, the invite sounds so great for the fireworks at Tulsa. I stayed out on my porch last night and watched the fireworks going up in the sky. Someone had spent some big bucks on fireworks and I got to enjoy it!
I’m the winner? Yippee!! Thanks, Suzie!!
Hey Cheryl, the books and Skittles will go in the mail tomorrow media mail. Hope you love them, and I hope you love the choice of The Woman I Am Becoming (the one you said you wanted!).
Blessings!
Suzie
I confess that I talk on the phone while driving. What is my problem? My daughter and I even teneded to two people who were in a car accident due to cell phones. I vowed then to never talk on my cell while driving. BUt I do. That’s when I catch up with lots of people.
I know - I need a headset.
Fun post !
