My professional bio reads … “When Allison Bottke’s life changed, it wasn’t merely another bend in the journey. It was a brake-locking, tire-screaming U-turn in the middle of a fast moving highway in order to head in a completely opposite direction.”

Every time I read that sentence I’m in awe of the way God works. When I think back to how my life was—the poor choices I made time and again—and the mistakes I paid dearly for, I am so grateful that our God is a God of second chances and new beginnings. I’m so thankful that it’s never too late to make a life-changing U-Turn no matter how far off track we’ve journeyed!

I’m 50+, and as corny as it sounds, I really do feel as though I’m entering the best years of my life. So many pieces to the puzzle of life are finally joining together, you know what I mean? I’d really like to share all the exciting things going on in my life. From my new upcoming boomer-lit fiction to my current non-fiction book for parents who are struggling with challenging relationships with adult children.
